It’s a bad job, but someone’s got to do it.
We’re talking about the traveling, of course. When you first found out that
your job would require you to travel around the world, you were probably over
the moon. That faded away pretty quickly when the glamour petered out and you
realized that you were in a strange country, far away from family and friends,
where no one speaks your language.
Hold that thought. You are in a beautiful
country, a place you have never been before. This is an amazing opportunity for
you, both professional and otherwise, and you do not need to speak the language
in order to enjoy it. What you do need is a little knowledge about handling language barriers, and we are
